So my copy of Word apparently didn't agree with some aspect of my virus protection software, and so my computer simply destroyed irreparably the third chapter of my doctoral dissertation.
Soon, oh so very soon, my laptop will be running Linux.
Meanwhile, I have a resurrection to perform, if you will excuse me...

Oh, dear-- my incompetent sympathies go out to you. And I thought I've had it bad over the past two hours, trying to study for my last qual while the downstairs neighbors vocalize their physical passion for each other.
Just because someone loses, say, a leg, this does not negate the reality of the pain of a really bad bruise on the shin. Sympathies right back at you, and best of luck on the last qual
